Agency groups are a number of agencies working together to promote tourism in each and others areas. By working together it allows people looking for holiday accommodation to find exactly what they are looking for.
National Agencies are normally those that are located at a central office and offer self catering holiday accommodation throughout Britain.
Multi Regional Agencies are normally located in a County in Britain and also offer self catering holiday accommodation in surrounding Counties or Regions.

The information we provide will normally be additional advertising to your normal Marketing. We do ask for a small amount of 50.00 pounds per year (incl. VAT) for advertising on Cottage Trail however, we also try to justify this by suggesting that your advertisement may be seen by thousands of people and when comparing this small cost for 365 days a year, 24 hours a day against say - a small single advertisement in a National Newspaper - we feel it quite reasonable for some of the work involved.
There are some that feel that our work deserves more! ...and we are grateful for any donations towards our work in building up a select site for self catering accommodation.We do not take commission on sales neither do we handle bookings on behalf of Owners. Our website is purely to provide additional advertising for what we feel are some of the Unique or better properties and agencies in Britain and elsewhere.
The best agencies carry out inspection of their properties and generally ensure that they are in good condition, necessary certificates are held and that they meet the ETC or Local Tourist Board standards. Each agency has its own standard for the types of property they let - some demand high furnishings standards, for others location is important.
Where individual holiday cottages are advertised - we normally ask that they are at least of a high ETC rating or rated by a Tourism Association. We will not advertise any property that is not rated or not controlled by an agency or similar body. On occasions we will visit the properties advertised - but in the main we are aware of the properties advertised and the agencies.
Whilst we try to ensure that the information supplied is correct, we do rely on that information from the providers and would ask you to take up any questions directly with them. We also require advertisers to ensure that the information we hold is up to date.
